How to Install APKS, XAPK
APKS and XAPK are special file formats that contain the app and additional information in one packaging.
What Are These Files?
- APKS: Bundle of APKs (Multiple apk files in one file).
- XAPK: XAPK is a package that combines APK and OBB files for easy installation.
Installation Methods
Method 1: Using APKFlare App (Recommended)
- Download and install the APKFlare app from our website.
- Download the APKS or XAPK file.
- Open the file with APKFlare app.
- Tap “Install”.
- Wait for installation to complete.
Method 2: Using Third-Party Installers
Popular XAPK/APKS installer apps:
- APKPure App.
- XAPK Installer.
- APK Installer.
- SAI (Split APKs Installer).
Steps:
- Install one of the installer apps above.
- Download your APKS/XAPK file.
- Open the file with the installer app.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Tap “Install”.
Method 3: Manual Installation (Advanced)
For XAPK files:
- Change the file name extension from .xapk into .zip.
- Extract the zip file using a file manager.
- Install the APK file first.
- Move the OBB folder to /Android/obb/ (if present).
- Launch the app.
For APKS files:
- Extract the APKS file (it’s a zip archive).
- Use SAI or similar app to install all split APKs together.
Important Notes
- Regular APK installers cannot install APKS/XAPK files.
- You need a specialized installer app.
- Ensure you’ve turned on “Unknown sources” or “Install unknown apps.”
- These formats work for apps that are above 100MB or have split APKs.
Troubleshooting
- Use a compatible installer app if installation failing errors arise.
- Check that you have enough storage space.
- Redownload the file if it appears corrupted.
- Some devices may not support split APKs (older Android versions).
