TRUE MANAGER™ AIR

TRUE MANAGER™ AIR for Android is a diabetes management application which developed for those using Trividia Health’s TRUE METRIX® AIR or TRUENESS AIR™ blood glucose meters. With Bluetooth wireless syncing, it converts readings into visual interpretations that can be viewed through your smartphone. It essentially acts as a digital diary that tracks patterns, notices trends and helps you stay on top of glucose control without having to fill out sheets on paper.

Once your compatible blood glucose meter is connected, the app automatically downloads your readings. Your readings are then organized with the help of color-coded graphics, which show at a glance whether you are in range, above range or below range. The default values are based on “ADA glucose target ranges” but can be altered according to your doctor. In addition to automatic imports, manual entry can also be done to log results from other tests or plug in gaps with the Bluetooth interface is not practical.

The app provides a full graph and report package; not just a list of numbers. Each day, week and month comes with a modal view of the reports “glucose trend visualization”, “blood sugar averages report” and “conformance report” that provides readings before and after meals. The logbook has built-in data sharing capabilities. You can electronically export or send your logbook to the doctors, your family members, or the caregivers without printing piles of paper. The app can back up and restores your history in case you change your device. Plus, it is entirely free, with no ads or in-app purchases hidden behind paywalls.

Compatibility Issues and User Frustrations

But what’s the reality for everyday users? The app doesn’t work on many devices. The app works only with select Trividia Health meters and specific Android devices (operating on version 7.1 or higher). This means you cannot import data from any competing “Bluetooth glucose meter” brand or connect to a wider health ecosystem of your choice. Users indicate that the Bluetooth pairing process is quite difficult on first attempt. Many people had to try Bluetooth pairing a couple of times before it managed to anchor a stable connection.

People from the community say that the user interface and overall usability lag behind competitors like mySugr, Glucose Buddy, and OneTouch Reveal, which often provide more polished experiences and greater device support.
