UNH Mobile for Android is UNH’s official campus companion app, bringing together everything students, faculty, staff and visitors need to live each day on campus in one location. It brings academic resources, transit tracking, dining, safety, and events into an easy-to-customize dashboard that adapts to your unique role on campus.

What You Get After Installation

The Campus App has a lot of features to help you navigate the campus and access resources. You can easily find buildings, offices and facilities with GPS-enabled directions through interactive Campus maps. Tracking your bus in real-time helps you see exactly where shuttles are in their routes and when they will show up at your stop. Gone are the grey hairs bestowed upon us by the New Hampshire winters due to guessing when your bus may arrive.

The dining hall menus and hours enable you to plan your meals according to your schedule while the university course catalog gives you the ability to browse offerings and bookmark classes for future semesters. Once you authenticate, the directory lookup links you to student and faculty contact information, and the customizable dashboard means prospective students see different resources than current enrollers or the parent. Some features have web authentication or direct to external links, instead of being fully integrated into the app. There will sometimes be difficulty accessing directory information or course content. According to people in the university community, offline capability isn’t prominently advertised. So many modules are likely network dependent to function.

The app is only useful for those who are affiliated with the University of New Hampshire. Unless you are a student, faculty, staff, parent, or would-be visitor then there is almost no reason to install it. The specialized campus tool seems an appropriate target, although it’s good to note this up front.
